General Purpose Filters
Master Pneumatic offers a range of General Purpose Filters from 1/8” to 2” in either Manual or Automatic Drain and are supplied most commonly with 5µm filter elements. They remove water and particulate matter from the air to protect down-stream equipment from contamination and damage.
Coalescing Filters
A 0.3µm coalescing filter element is standard in all Coalescent Filters and removes 99.99% of oil together with solid contaminants larger than 0.3µm. An optional 0.01µm element is available upon request, with some reduction in flow, however a number of units can be ordered with extended bowls and high capacity elements to significantly increase flow.
Differential Pressure Gauges
Coalescent Filters are supplied with a Differential Pressure Gauge, which measures the pressure drop across the filter element. By monitoring the condition of the filter element and indicating when the element needs replacing, these Gauges ensure that the element is only changed when necessary, thereby maintaining air quality without unnecessary and costly element replacements.
Internal Automatic Drain
The Master Pneumatic automatic drain operates when a pressure drop of 2psi or more occurs in the filter bowl (e.g. when a down-stream valve or other device is actuated). This pressure drop triggers the automatic drain to expel any accumulated liquids. The drain is also activated whenever the air supply is shut down and exhausted.
